The Burj Al Arab is a hotel located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is the third tallest hotel in the world. Burj Al Arab stands on an artificial island 280 m (920 ft) from Jumeirah beach and is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge. The shape of the structure is designed to mimic the sail of a ship. It has a helipad near the roof at a height of 210 m (689 ft) above ground. Set on the 24-acre Burj Lake, The Dubai Fountain features water that jets as high as 450 ft (140 metres), which is equivalent to a 45-storey building. Known as the Al Ain Palace Museum, the former home of the late UAE founder, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Palace was once a political and social hub. Built in 1937 and then renovated in 1998, the building finally became a museum in 2001. Now creatively restored, the museum houses a large collection of material about the ruling family. Visitors can tour the private rooms and gardens once occupied by the Father of the Nation.

The picturesque Al Jahili Fort is one of the UAEs most historic buildings. It was erected in 1891 to defend the city and protect precious palm groves. The former headquarters of the Oman Trucial Scouts, the force that protected the mountain passes and kept inter-tribal peace, it also served as a residence for the local governor. It is set in beautifully landscaped gardens, and visitors are encouraged to explore it.

A fort which was once home to the emirates ruler and guarded the entrance to the old town, overseeing the sea on one side and the creek on the other. It eventually became a police station, only later a museum. The museum now has an invaluable collection of artifacts found at important nearby sites including Al-Dour and houses a collection of weapons that were used through the emirates history.

The Al Noor Mosque is a mosque in Sharjah. It is located on the Khaled lagoon at the Buhaira Corniche. It has Turkish Ottoman design and was influenced by the Sultan Ahmed Mosque in Turkey. It is one of three mosques open to the public in Sharjah, which has over 600 total.
